COVID-19 News and Resources

COVID PageCheltenham Township and all communities in Montgomery County are currently under the Red Phase novel coronavirus COVID-19 Stay-At-Home Order until June 4, 2020. All Pennsylvania schools remain closed until the end of the school year and non-life-sustaining business closures remain in effect.

While Governor Wolf ordered the closure of all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Cheltenham Township will remain in operation to the fullest extent possible while implementing mitigation measures to protect and support its employees and the public.
Cheltenham Township is committed to continuing to provide essential, life-sustaining services, such as Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Service and Refuse Collection, among others to the community during this difficult time. Our Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services are fully staffed and operational as usual. For true emergencies, dial 911. The Police Department's non-emergency phone number is (215) 885-1600. Please do not call 911 to inquire about testing for COVID-19. Contact your healthcare provider for instructions and guidance.

With the exception of the Police Department, all Township buildings are closed to the public. Non-essential support services will be provided in limited capacity for the duration of any restrictions. For information about how individual departments are impacted by the pandemic, please visit the department pages frequently, as they will be updated a new information is received.
