Fire Safety: Active Smoke Alarms

Posted on Thursday January 20, 2022

After two recent fatal fires occurred in Philadelphia and New York, neither residence of which was found to have a working smoke alarm, this fire safety item rose to the top of our Public Safety conversation here in Cheltenham.

The Cheltenham Township Fire Companies, Emergency Management Agency, and Public Safety Committee of the Board remind our residents to test your smoke alarms.  If you don't have one or need help installing one, please contact Fire Marshal Scott Lynch at 215-887-1000 ext. 235.

Smoke alarms save lives.
