FINAL DAYS: Community Survey for Comprehensive Plan
Posted on Tuesday October 19, 2021
The Township wants YOUR opinion to guide the future of Cheltenham!

Please take this survey online by end of day this Friday, October 22, OR if you obtained a paper copy from the Township building or a library, return completed surveys to the Township Administration Building (8230 Old York Rd) by Friday.

In early 2021, Cheltenham Township began the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. Facilitated by the Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC), the process is being guided by a steering committee consisting of residents, elected officials and Township staff, and is expected to take two to three years to complete.  The Comprehensive Plan was last updated in 2005, and with all that's changed since then, from new technologies to a new Subdivision & Land Development Ordinance and more, the update will create a better guide for the future of the community.

At this stage, the steering committee is seeking input from Township residents and stakeholders through this survey.
While the survey is online, paper copies are available at the Township Administration Building for any neighbors who may not have internet access.  Please help us spread the word!

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete, and asks questions to guide the Township's efforts over the next 20 years to improve neighborhoods, zoning and land use, transportation, housing, parks and open spaces, and more. Your opinion is important in understanding the needs and goals for the community. Future public meetings during the update process will offer additional opportunities for members of the Cheltenham Community to provide input on the future of Cheltenham.

For questions/information about the survey, contact Aaron Holly of the MCPC at [email protected] or 610-278-3748.
