Note these special Saturday collections due to Wednesday's storm.
Due to the recent storms in Cheltenham Township, the Public Works Department will be collecting all garden debris bags that are placed curbside this Saturday 7/24 in Routes 9-15 (Routes 1-8 are taking place as scheduled Friday 7/23). All bags must be out by 7am to be collected.
Public Works will return back to Routes 9-15 the following Friday as scheduled.
To arrange for a special curbside brush collection, call the Public Works Department at 215-635-4600. Prior to make arrangements for a Township collection, make sure your brush pile is in compliance with the size parameters noted in the Township calendar.
If your brush pile exceeds the following parameters, you will need to hire a private contractor to collect your brush from your residence. Brush exceeding the parameters will NOT be collected by the Township.
- Brush/Debris: Non-invasive garden debris, leaves, grass clippings and twigs must be placed in biodegradable paper bags.
- Large branches: max. 8’ long and 4” in diameter, one pile not exceeding 4’ x 4’ x 8’
- Small branches: eight tied bundles not to total over 4’ long and 2’ in diameter
Logs, firewood, railroad ties, bushes, and tree stumps will NOT be accepted.
Public Works will be accepting bagged spoiled food at the Public Works Facility (8101 Old York Rd) today between 10am-3pm and Saturday from 10am-2pm.
