All Trash Must be Bagged Before Placement in Trash Containers

Posted on Monday March 30, 2020
Trash not contained in bags will no longer be accepted by Cheltenham Township.
Effective Immediately: All trash must be bagged for the safety of our employees and our community. This does not apply to recycling. Recycling materials can remain loose in recycling containers. All trash should be placed in bags that are secured (tied) and then placed in trash containers. Please do not place loose garbage directly in trash containers. This is for the protection of our workers, we do not want them coming in contact with loose waste products, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Trash not contained in bags, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak, will not be accepted.

*During the outbreak, it would also be appreciated by our employees if waste receptacles were sanitized with a disinfectant after placing at the curb.*

Thank you for your cooperation.
