DOG PARK CLOSED FOR SPRAYING Selective spraying of invasive plant material, such as Japanese knotweed and Japanese honeysuckle, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1 and Thursday, October 1 at the Curtis Arboretum Dog Park. In the event of inclement weather, the spraying will occur on the next clear day. A third application will be sprayed in late May/early June 2010.
Opened in 2006, the Dog Park in the lower level of Curtis Arboretum, located at Church Road and Greenwood Avenue in Wyncote, offers over an acre of fenced area for our four-legged friends to run and play off-leash. The park includes a pooper-scooper bag dispenser, benches and a separate enclosure for small breeds. The Curtis Dog Park Committee helped established the park and continues to support it with an annual dog walk fund-raiser.
Park Hours 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM May – August 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sept. – April
Dog Park Rules
This Dog Park is administered by the Parks and Recreation Department (215-887-6200, ext. 227) with the assistance of the Curtis Dog Park Committee. This Dog Park works because we all love our pets and enjoy being able to play together in our Dog Park. Let’s have fun playing with our four-footed and two-footed friends. Let common sense, common courtesy and friendliness prevail.
