2008 Business Recognition Award Winners

 

Cheltenham Township Main Street and the Economic Development Task Force (EDTF) recognized the winners of the township’s 2008 Business Recognition Awards Program during a recent ceremony at Curtis Hall in Wyncote. Commissioners Morton J. Simon, Jr., (left) and Drew Sharkey (right) were on hand for the presentations.  The winners were (left to right, front) Robin Katz of Max and David’s International Kosher Cuisine (new business winner); Rob Carachilo (volunteer of the year winner); Cynthia Blackwood (volunteer of the year runner up); (back) Soo-Il and Soon Hee Jung of Melrose Shopping Center (established business runner up); Ron Whiddon of Ron’s Cornucopia Deli (new business runner up); Jiri and Molly Stejskal of CETRA (established business co-winner); and Dr. Jerry Greiner of Arcadia University (chairman’s award winner).

This awards program will recognize outstanding businesses and merchants within the community in an effort to encourage and sustain businesses in our Township.  A business is defined as any service, professional or retail establishment.  Please nominate one business/person per category.  Include the name and address, the business type and a brief reason for the nomination:

 

1. Established Business: 10+ years in business with positive community relations and a level of service worthy of recognition.
