The 18th Annual Cheltenham Community Harvest Festival promises fun for all ages with a lineup of exciting events on Saturday, October 11 (rain date Sunday, October 12). As always, the setting for the festival is beautiful Curtis Arboretum, located on Church Road and Greenwood Avenue in Wyncote (directions). The fun starts at noon and wraps up after dark with a grand fireworks finale. As usual, entertainment takes center stage throughout the day with several live performers and other festival highlights include:
Admission to the Community Harvest Festival is free, and plenty of on-site parking is available. Crafters in the craft fair must supply their own tables and chairs. Electricity is not available. The non-refundable registration fee is $25 for a 10-foot space and $40 for a 20-foot space. Setup begins that morning at 9:30 a.m. No vendors, yo-yo balloons, sand art or face painting is permitted in the craft area. For more information, see the application/contract form or call 215-635-3255. Create a scary/haunted or cute/friendly scene for the hayride area in a new contest. Grand prize winners receive $250, 2nd place earns $150 and 3rd place receives $100. A $25 (refundable after the scene is set up) entry fee is due by September 19, 2008.
