More than 60 talented artists and
crafters will offer jewelry, paintings, woodworking, apparel, candles,
garden ornaments and other wares at the Eighth Annual Glenside Street
Fair slated for Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. The rain date is Sunday, September 28.
The event draws thousands of shoppers
to showcase the Glenside Commercial District on Easton Road, south of
Glenside Avenue. Local businesses will feature sidewalk sales and
special discounts. This year's event will feature a fully juried slate
of crafters. The beautifully renovated Wesley Plaza will host a food
court featuring delicious treats. In addition, numerous local
restaurants offer great dining opportunities nearby. Other attractions
include live music from local talent, fun for the kids and music from a
local radio station.
A Cheltenham Township Main Street
event, the fair is supported by both the Greater Glenside and Eastern
Montgomery County Chambers of Commerce.
The Main Street Marketing and
