EARTH DAY CLEANUP.

Previous Earth Day efforts in Cheltenham Township included a cleanup of Wall Park in Elkins Park, sponsored by the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Inc.

2005 EARTH DAY PROJECT.
On Earth Day, Sarah White (center, front) and (left to right, back) Ron Dunbar, Bob Brown, Patti Peet and Murray Peet joined a group of 35 Friends of Thomas Williams Park to place fresh woodchips provided by Cheltenham Township on the trail next to the basketball courts in Wyncote. Other Earth Day activities conducted at nine locations around the township included planting trees, bushes and flowers; removing litter, weeds and invasive plants; and labeling storm sewer inlets to discourage dumping since the inlets empty into the Tookany Creek.

Neighborhood, club, school and community groups will celebrate Earth Day

with projects at various locations throughout the Township.

Everyone is invited to join a group; no registration is needed.
