Empty Bowl Dinner raising awareness and funds for hunger and homelessness both locally and globally
Documents
 Calendar Details:
Join us for the 24th Annual Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner and be a part of an important community service event. Our purpose for the dinner is to bring awareness to our surrounding community of the hunger and homelessness present both locally and globally.

Attendees choose a ceramic bowl, handcrafted by a community member, to be used as their soup bowl for the evening. The bowl is filled with wonderful soups donated by area businesses, restaurants, and individuals from Arcadia University and the surrounding community. The bowl is taken home to serve as a reminder that for many people around the world an empty bowl is the reality of their mealtime.

100% of the proceeds benefit two agencies assisting the hungry and the homeless. This year's proceeds will benefit the Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network, a local agency that provides temporary shelter and food to homeless families, and The Hunger Project, which promotes hunger relief and economic stability through improved agricultural techniques and sustainable empowerment worldwide.

There will be continuous seating from 4:30-6:00 p.m. and again from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for all students and children and $15 for non-students. To purchase online tickets please check back closer to the date for when our ticket sales system is active. Guest are asked to purchase a ticket either online or at the door, AND bring a non-perishable food item with you to the dinner.
